Lee and Associates Receives ASLA Awards / 2009
The Potomac Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA) awarded Lee and Associates two Merit awards, recognizing superior professional accomplishments, at a banquet held recently. The award-winning projects include Cultivating the Edge, Magok Waterfront Plan, Seoul, South Korea at Analysis and Planning Category in both merit award and traveler’s award and United Stated Department of Transportation Headquarters, Washington DC. In Institutional Design merit award.

2009 Engineering Excellence Award / May 2009
Lee+Papa and Alpha Corporation have been awarded the 2009 Engineering Excellence Award for our work on the Pentagon 9/11 Memorial, dedicated September 11, 2008. This Honor Award was presented by the American Council of Engineering Companies. The project was selected from over 200 submissions representing projects constructed world-wide by US companies.

Magok Project / JULY 2008
The Magok site is an ecotone, lingering on the brink of potential and straddling what is ‘old’ and ‘new.’  Magok has been situated geographically at the edge of Seoul and the Han River, while historically at the edge of Seoul’s agricultural society and remaining undeveloped land. 

Landscape Architecture Magazine Article on Washington DC’s Waterfront / March 2008
The American Society of Landscape Architect’s national magazine features an article detailing the history of planning for the Anacostia River waterfront, starting with Lee and Associates and EEK Architects redevelopment brief of 1999. The article discusses the many proposals and projects that are currently moving forward in the waterfront area, including LA projects such as Kingman and Heritage Islands, The Yards streetscape and the Poplar Point redevelopment plan.
