The Petworth Meditation Garden is open for quiet reflection
There's a new green space in D.C.: Petworth Meditation Garden! One of our Senior Associates, Adrienne McCray, attended the ribbon cutting event and mingled with the very people LAI collaborated with to bring this final vision alive. While it only looks like a park, our project, located at 13th and Kansas Ave, focuses on providing the community with a multi-use space that is both meditative and relaxing. In addition to being the first meditation garden in the District, The Petworth Meditation Garden offers free public programming through DPR like Yoga in the Park on Monday Mornings.
“The Petworth Meditation Garden is an example how we can transform a small space into a tremendous community amenity,” said Mayor Bowser. “We thank the community for working with us to create such a unique and innovative space.”
